OMEGA-SW is a comprehensive numerical model for simulating wave-ship-bathymetry interaction in shallow water. It is based on a coupled Boussinesq-panel method with the panel method used to solve for near field effects due to presence of a vessel while Boussinesq-type wave evolution equations are used to solve for the transformation of the incident and radiated waves in the far field due to shoaling, refraction, diffraction, reflection and wave-current interaction.
