Who we are
Founded in 2025 by Dr. Okey Nwogu, Omega Sensing Technologies develops advanced sensing technologies to find what is hidden: buried underground, submerged underwater, or masked by noise and clutter.
We specialize in magnetic, radar, and sonar systems that combine physics-based modeling, advanced signal processing, and statistical inference to detect weak targets and extract meaningful information from complex environments.
Our mission is to make difficult sensing problems tractable, enabling reliable detection and characterization where conventional approaches fall short. Wherever practical, we favor passive and non-invasive methods that reduce operational risk and help protect people.
Our Approach
Physics-Based Intelligence
We start with the underlying physics of how sensors, targets, and their environments interact. By incorporating this knowledge into our algorithms, we develop sensing methods grounded in physical reality rather than relying on data-driven models alone.
Advanced Signal Processing and Inference
We combine signal processing, statistical inference, and machine learning to distinguish meaningful target signatures from noise and clutter. Our methods are designed to improve weak-target detection, reduce false alarms, and extract useful information in low-signal-to-noise-ratio environments
From Algorithms to Deployment
We develop sensing capabilities from algorithm design and simulation through experimental validation, system integration, and deployment. Our technologies are intended for practical use across a range of platforms, from autonomous and remotely operated vehicles to fixed installations.
What we work on
Magnetic Sensing
Passive detection and characterization of magnetic anomalies associated with ferrous objects, including weak signatures that may be obscured by environmental noise.
Ground-Penetrating Radar
Subsurface imaging and characterization to detect buried objects, identify hidden hazards, and estimate the physical properties of subsurface materials.
4D Imaging Radar
Detection, tracking, and classification of moving objects in dynamic environments, with an emphasis on extracting useful information from complex radar returns.
Synthetic Aperture Sonar
High-resolution seabed imaging and underwater object detection through advanced acoustic sensing and image analysis.
Who We Work With
We work with government agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and industry partners to develop and deploy sensing technologies for humanitarian, transportation, infrastructure, defense, and security applications.
Across these domains, our focus is the same: turning weak, ambiguous, or obscured sensor signatures into reliable information that supports better decisions, improves situational awareness, and helps protect people and critical assets.
